Information Literacy

In our Technology & Learning Implementation Plan, one of our focus areas is information literacy. There are two actions related to this area:

1. Action: Continuously develop K-12 students’ and teachers’ information evaluation skills
   Goal Area/Why?: Information literacy – improve critical analysis and the discerning of valid information
2. Action: Develop, implement and monitor ethical and safe use standards to protect computers, users, applications
   Goal Area/Why?: Information literacy – increase student knowledge pertaining to safe and ethical use of information resources and networks, including student email
