Emerson and the Young American

1. While I don’t know exactly what the format is I think it is in the format of a letter because he is writing to American citizens and deconstructs his opinion on the prospect of transportation improving our foreign trade.

2. I believe that the thesis of this article is where he says that America is the country of the future because it is a country of beginnings, of projects, of designs, and expectations.

3. I think that Bacon would definetely support Emerson’s opinion because while Bacon would not have debated on the same topic, he would support Emerson’s ideals of letting the “Young American”, a.k.a. the common man, lead the leaders.

You may be correct about deconstruction, but “deconstructs his opinion on the prospect of transportation improving our foreign trade”—his is an issue that obfuscates any potential meaning.
