1. The format of “Young American” is a deconstructive essay.
2. The article’s thesis is that transportation leads to more trade. The more trade America has the more power America has. The more power America has, the greater country America is. The young Americans hold the future of America in their hands.
3. I believe that Admas or Washington would agree with Emerson.
Extra Credit: Whitney Houston was playing because she was singing about how the “children are the future” and “they are going to lead he way”, which is excatly what Emerson thinks.
