I think that the book opens people up to art because not everybody likes art so for some people this was a big dael and to others they now see what there missing out on about art.

Well when I read Chasing Vermeer I first thought it was boring but as I read it I now look forward to art class.Kind of. Now art is lke a collage of colors and feelings. THAT’S WHAT I THINK ABOUT ART.

I think the book helped to find the criminal. I think he was a pretty stupid thief. If you steel something, don’t put books and store because that culd actually help the FBI find you. They could also scan the books for DNA samples. I’m sure a couple of the books had the thiefs DNA. If they find your DNA,(unlike the people not even thinking to check for DNA) your in big trouble. That’s why if you steal something, you don’t say anything unlike this criminal. I think it changed regular peoples lives because everyone knew more about art, specificly about Vermmer, more specificly about A Lady Writing. It changed average people’s lives because some of these average people, like Calder and Petra, made history. Two kids that aren’t even teenagers changes some of arts history.

I think that the book about Vermeer in the book changed the people because they started talking about everything being art. They soon began to notice art in other forms. The people also were more intent on finding the thief who stole the painting of the lady. It was important that the book was published (by Mrs.Sharpe) so people realized that art is not just in museums What was normal or silly is now important.

After reading chasing Vermeer, I do think of normal things as art. A pencil is not considered “art” but is unique. In the book it said what makes art art?” and “Why is a painting art and a spoon not?” I used to disagree but now I understand what they meant.

I think the painting is hidden in… KING HALL! their is so much stuff pertaining to the mystery there. It is so freaky. Don’t you think? And the words that Miss.Sharpe said, there like hidden pictures in the building.

I think the book did change the way some people mthought. What was silly, may be now of great importance. Like a computer or apples. Whatever. Art can be very powerful, even if you don’t know it. As for me it didn’t really affect me. No impact on my life whatsoever. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I think that the book, “THE VERMEER DILEMA: WHAT HAPPENS NOW?” has changed the way that almost everyone in the story has thought about art. On page 171 it says that the book tried to focus on all of the positive things that had come out of the crime. If this book hadn’t been published, everyone in the story would go completely bananas about the theft of, “ A Lady Writing”.
I think the story has changed the way that I think of art because it makes me think that everything is artwork. Just because something doesn’t have a signature or wasn’t made by some famous person does not mean it is not special. It’s still an original and someone took their time to creat it. Even if a famous artist did make it, it wouldn’t be perfect. Nothing is perfect. Overall, I think the story has made me realize that if you use your imagination, anything imaginable can truly be a work of art.

I think it changed the way people look at art by them looking at art with open eyes. It changed by people looking at ordinary things but looking for art in it. They look at it and look for more detail. The ordinary people now try to find art even in stinky gym socks! The book also makes them think with more color and artistics in their mind. And that is what I think about the book changing the way people think about art.

I think the book helped the people in Chicago learn more about art. I also think the book helped them in finding the stolen painting.
Yes, Chasing Vermeer did change the way I think about art. Now scince i read this book I like art a lot more than I did when I didn’t read this book. ( Now art is my second favorite sppecial!!!!)

I think the book changed the charcters view of art because another letter came in from the theif. The letter said that the book told people the true people meaning of art. It didn’t say what it was though. Ms. Hussey’s assignment told the students anything is art. Even just something from your house. My opinion changed a little bit about art. I now think that anything can be art. Even if it just has a simple pattern. Art can be expressed in any way.
